Educational Program

Poverty, malnutrition and lack of stimulating environment are risk factors for poor development and are prevalent in Bangladesh.

School Readiness Initiative (SRI) plans to scale up its effective and comprehensive modern Early Child Care and Education program in Ethiopia. .To address the gap in preschool preparation available to children, , SRI developed a program that has been shown to improve school readiness. SRI's approach includes programs for teacher training, cognitive, mental and physical health, parenting education, and family counselling.

The home environments in which children are raised fundamentally shape their health, wellbeing, and development outcomes in early childhood and throughout their lives. Bandebereho is a gender-transformative intervention in Rwanda that helps new parents to become more equitable, caring, and responsive caregivers. The intervention is proven to reduce violence within the home and to foster men's engagement in their children's lives.

Sexual violence risk reduction program that builds girls' physical, vocal and mental skills through both reality based self-defence skills and soft skills training. The FightBack model also incorporates training for adolescent boys, parents and teachers to address discriminatory cultural norms like honour and victim blaming, to ensure that the onus of reducing sexual violence is not placed solely on girls themselves.

First Steps (FS) aims to achieve improvements in parenting practices, child development indicators, and increase emergent literacy promotion in the home by reaching children aged 0-3 years old through community-based parenting education sessions, home activities and radio programs in Rwanda. The program is delivered through community parenting education using a radio program and providing community based activities. It reaches a great number of children and parents at a low cost.

A culture plagued by the domination & sexualization of the Jamaican woman, Intimate Partner Violence as stated by PM Andrew Holness “is one of the greatest challenges that women face in our society today". The UN Women funded survey on GBV, reports that more than 1 in every 4 women experiences IPV in Jamaica. Women had negative attitudes towards IPV suggesting that violence between married couples is private & " 15.8% felt that female rape victims contributed in some way to being raped".

Beading is a secret traditional practice among Samburu people of Northern Kenya where a young man (Moran) usually a clan member negotiates with a mother and brothers of a girl 9-15 years of age for sex to "prepare the girl for future marriage". This practice affecting 45% leads to school drop out, forced child marriages, unsafe forced abortion or infant killing when children are born. Overall it is physical/mental torture, sexual violence against minors. A fundamental violation of human rights.

About a fifth (about 2 million) of the Bolivian population lives outside the country. 73% of them are in Argentina attracted by the offer of work and income improvement. Many migrants are from rural indigenous areas of Bolivia. If healthcare is available, they face cultural and financial barriers to care due to widespread discrimination and economic instability. This has led to higher rates of teen pregnancy, STI & HIV, lack of access to contraceptives and vulnerability to gender-based violence

23% des 15-19 ans ont au moins un enfant et la prévalence contraceptive est faible. Les filles fréquentent peu les structures de santé pour les questions sensibles de santé reproductive et font rarement appel aux services juridiques ou sociaux en cas de violation de leurs droits. Elles ne trouvent pas la confidentialité, la qualité des services qu'elles attendent ni de soutien psychosocial. Cela a une conséquence directe sur leur santé et celle de leur enfant et sur l'exercice de leurs droits.
